{"id":31,"date":"2021-05-05T20:20:51","date_gmt":"2021-05-05T20:20:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sitepreviews.org\/aabr\/?page_id=31"},"modified":"2021-10-21T20:12:28","modified_gmt":"2021-10-21T20:12:28","slug":"faqs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sitepreviews.org\/aabr\/faqs\/","title":{"rendered":"FAQS"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><b>How much are the adoption fees?<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The adoption fee is currently $500 for dogs under 3 years of age.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The adoption fee for all other dogs (except for seniors) is currently $400.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seniors 9 and older are $100.\u00a0 Please consider giving one of our great seniors their forever home.\u00a0 I promise you will never feel better about rescuing a dog.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is an adoption application donation of $15.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All fees are non-refundable.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>What is your coverage area?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We work ONLY within Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Rhode Island. If you are unsure if you are in our coverage area, please email us to ask- <a href=\"mailto:info@adoptaboxerresccue.com\" style=\" color: #dd8d13;\">info@adoptaboxerresccue.com<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Do I need to have a physical fence to adopt?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not all AABR dogs rescue require a physical fence, but some do. If you do not have a fence you can still adopt, but keep in mind it is ultimately AABR\u2019s decision as to whether the dog requires a securely fenced yard.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Why don\u2019t you adopt outside of your coverage area?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We only adopt to dogs within our coverage area as we require a home visit to be completed for every applicant, which we need a volunteer in the area to conduct. We like to meet the potential adopters, as well as see the living space where the dog will reside.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are not in our area, PLEASE PERFORM A WEB SEARCH ON \u201cBOXER RESCUE IN YOUR STATE\u201d and apply to a rescue near you. We are unable to help you locate rescues in your area.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Do you take returns?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yes! All our dogs are on a contract FOR LIFE, and if they cannot be kept by the adoptive home, per our contract they must be returned to AABR.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>How long does the process take?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are an all-volunteer organization and do our best to process applications as quickly as we can. The dogs are of utmost priority and sometimes we get inundated with intake and caring for sick animals. Our process may take up to 6 weeks or longer depending on the availability of our volunteers to process applications and conduct home visits.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Can I meet the dogs?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are an all foster based rescue and do not have a central facility where our dogs are housed. All our boxers are in loving foster homes and we only allow for approved applicants to speak with an adoption coordinator or to meet a dog.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Does applying for a dog guarantee a placement?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No. The application is required to potentially adopt, but based on your home environment (kids, cats, other dogs), we simply may not have a dog that would be a god fit for every applicant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>How can I surrender my dog?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sitepreviews.org\/aabr\/surrender\/\" style=\"overflow-wrap: break-word; word-wrap: break-word;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/www.adoptaboxerrescue.com\/surrender\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How much are the adoption fees?
